

The interview panel shall interview prospective candidates and shall be comprised of personnel from various fire agencies and representatives from the City's Human Resources Department.īackground Check: All successful applicants shall be subject to a reference check, a credit history check, and a criminal record check. Oral Interview: Only the top applicants who have passed the written examination and physical agility test will be invited to participate in an oral interview. Firefighting is a physically demanding job, which requires a high level of physical fitness.

Physical Agility Test: All applicants shall submit themselves to a valid and job-related physical agility test. Written Examination: Candidates are tested for reading comprehension, mechanical reasoning, basic math and language skills.
